Factoring as a Source of Financing Economic Activity

The article is devoted to the issue of factoring of accounts receivable. Factoring in Polish conditions of management is a relatively new source of financing enterprises. In practice, we can distinguish different techniques (tools) of capital support for companies. Factoring is viewed as an alternative mostly in relation to bank credit and assignment of debt. Factoring allows to maintain financial liquidity by mens of financing the supplies with deferred payment. The article presents the origin, essence, costs and legal terms (principles) of factoring as well as the structure of the factoring market and the perspectives of its development in Poland and all over the world. It contains an analysis and comparison of factors` offers considering their attractiveness for potential receivers. The article ends with conclusions weighing out the strengths and the disadvantages of factoring.
