Bank's risk in housing projects finance
The article starts up with definition of developer and developer projects. Further, the typical risk categories in residential developer projects are presented. The typical residential project developer risk generates banking credit risk and bank's reputation risk. Banks reputation risk stems from the fact that residential developer projects are still very sensitive issue in Poland. The background of bank's reputation risk comes from economics and psychology. To cope with that risks categories, banks should organize the risk management process tailoring them to specifics of residential project and find new ways of residential project evaluation using new criteria. Examples of such criteria are presented as well as methods of risk mitigation.
